Friends was a big part of my life when I was growing up. I always felt like I was a part of the group. They would cheer me up when I was down; they made me laugh when I was sad, and I cried when they cried. Can you imagine a world where “Friends” started without the iconic song “I’ll Be There For You” by The Rembrandts? Well, in some alternate universe that may be a reality. The show’s original theme song was supposed to be “Shiny Happy People” by R.E.M.

In the episode “The One With All The Thanksgivings”, Chandler loses the tip of one of his toes. Matthew Perry is actually missing the tip of one of his fingers in real life.

Monica worked as a waitress at the Moondance Diner at one point in the show. Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst) also worked as a waitress at the same diner in Spider-Man (2002).
Could He “BE” More Gay?
The creators of Friends played with the idea of making the character of Chandler gay. Though they changed their mind after meeting with Matthew Perry, they did insert a few jokes about Chandler having gay characteristics (his hair, not knowing about sports, etc.).
